FES Fleet
The backbone of the FES fleet. Modern, efficient, and equipped with a glass cockpit — this is the aircraft you'll do most of your training in.
The Remos GX is a German-designed, FAA-certified Light Sport Aircraft that has earned its reputation as one of the finest training platforms available. It's the aircraft most FES students will spend the majority of their training time in — and for good reason. It flies beautifully, handles predictably, and is equipped with modern avionics that reflect what you'd find in professionally-operated aircraft.
Powered by the proven Rotax 912ULS four-cylinder engine producing 100 horsepower, the Remos GX cruises comfortably at 107 knots while burning a fraction of the fuel a traditional trainer would consume. That efficiency translates directly to lower operating costs and more time in the air per dollar spent.
The Remos qualifies as a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) under FAA regulations, which means training hours in this aircraft can satisfy the complex aircraft requirements for commercial pilot certification. You're not training on something you'll outgrow — you're building a foundation in a platform that satisfies requirements all the way up the certification ladder.
As an FAA Light Sport Aircraft, the Remos GX can be flown under Sport Pilot privileges with nothing more than a valid U.S. driver's license — no third-class medical exam required.
The Remos GX is a certified LSA — the ideal aircraft for earning your Sport Pilot certificate with a driver's license medical.
Train toward your PPL in a TAA-equipped aircraft. Hours in the Remos count toward your private pilot cross-country and solo requirements.
As a Technically Advanced Aircraft, the Remos GX satisfies the TAA requirement for commercial certification — saving you from renting a complex aircraft.
Available in 35, 50, and 100-hour bulk packages. Efficient fuel burn makes the Remos GX the most cost-effective way to build hours toward your ATP minimums.
With 480 nmi of range and 6 hours of endurance, the Remos GX is a capable cross-country platform — Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, and beyond.
FES instructors teach from the right seat of the Remos GX. All dual training hours are loggable toward your certificate requirements.
