COURSE PURPOSE
This course is designed to collaborate with the Sonex Aircraft Company (Sonex LLC), Insurance Companies, and Fly Eagle Sport to provide Sonex owners and pilots an aircraft specific safety course. This course will assist with insurance qualification and promote safety by conducting specialized flight training that utilizes a Legacy Sonex as the primary trainer. We will also promote safety through encouraging continuing education using the FAA Wings Program. Training will be provided under Part 61 using this syllabus. This course is also acceptable to meet insurance requirements for the Sonex line of one and two seat, propeller driven aircraft.
Client Eligibility:

This course is offered to any pilot having an interest in safely operating a Sonex Aircraft. The pilot must hold at least a Sport Pilot Certificate with airplane category and appropriate medical qualification for the certificate held or intended to be exercised.
AIRCRAFT TO BE USED/ AUTHORIZATIONS
Fly Eagle Sport will provide training in our Experimental Sonex/Waiex type two-seat aircraft and operate in accordance with a LODA provided by our local FSDO. Our insurance company finds this training to be acceptable to qualify in all “like Sonex aircraft” to include the Sonex, Waiex, OneX, etc.
COURSE COMPLETION STANDARDS
The client will meet at least the minimum applicable standards as listed in the Sport Pilot PTS in a Sonex Aircraft. Once all course requirements of this syllabus have been met the client will be eligible for a Graduation Certificate and Flight Review. Flight Reviews may be satisfied by either 61.56(a) or the FAA Wings Program at the discretion of the Flight Instructor.
