Tyler R. Sepp

Tyler Sepp’s passion for flying was deeply rooted in his childhood. Flying RC airplanes when he was nine years old, he would do anything to continue to learn more and find ways to pursue his dreams. At fourteen, he soloed a glider and became a certified pilot at 16. He then went on to became a flight instructor at 18 and achieved the highest pilot certificate (Airline Transport Pilot) at 23 with a type rating in the Boeing 737. Since then, he has flown several different civilian jobs and is currently a military pilot in the Arizona National Guard. Tyler founded Eagle Sport LLC after years of dreaming of a better way to share his passion for flight.

Parker Birtell
Chief Pilot and Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Parker Birtell began his aviation journey when he was "bitten by the bug" after a visit to the Boeing Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington. Since then, he hasn't wanted to do anything else other than fly. After completing his flight training in the challenging Pacific Northwest, Parker moved to the Valley to seek good flying weather and begin sharing his love for flying. He has worked on many sides of aviation, from aircraft refueling to crewing hot air balloons, so he's sure to have many interesting stories to share on long flights. Parker is excited and dedicated to help you achieve your aviation dreams!

Michael McCoy
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Mike McCoy is a highly experienced professional and dedicated flight instructor. Bringing over 3,000 hrs. and 40 years of flight instruction and aviation experience. Mike began his aviation career soloing as a Civil Air Patrol cadet, served in the US Air Force as a B-52 and KC-135 maintainer, earning his private pilot certificate in an Air Force flying club. After his active duty period Mike used his GI Bill to earn his commercial and instrument ratings and continuing on to American Flyers in 1980. There he earned his Flight Instructor, Instrument Flight Instructor and Basic Ground Instructor Ratings. Mike continues to serve as a Search and Rescue and Stan/Eval Pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. Mike loves to teach Primary Flight Students and will help you to accomplish your flying dreams.

Chris Moore
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Chris Moore began his flight training in 2016 after getting "bit by the bug" during his time as a Line Service Technician at Sky Harbor International Airport. He made the decision to enroll in a flight training program and after 15 dedicated months he conquered his goals, achieving his CFI, CFII, and MEI. Chris feels his career shift was one of the best decisions he has ever made and now shares his passion for aviation as dedicated flight instructor with the Fly Eagle Sport team. Chris knows what it takes to get through a condensed flight training regiment and is ready to help others rapidly accomplish their goals!

Kevin Beeler
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Kevin’s love of aviation started when his father took him to see the Blue Angels when he was in elementary school.  He’s a proud graduate of the Community College of Beaver County’s ‘Professional Pilot’ program in 2019. Kevin is a Certified Flight Instructor, Advanced Ground Instructor, and has endorsements for High Performance and Complex aircraft. Even now, he’s working on extra ratings to help his students further their goals.

Jerrell Campbell
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Jerrell (Jay) began his aviation career in the US military in 1997. During his military time, Jay served in numerous roles of ground support for a variety of military aircraft, both fixed wing and helicopters. Jay earned his private pilot certificate in 2019 from Fly Eagle Sport, then attended Liberty University while serving in the military and earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation. Jay went on to earn his Instrument rating, both Commercial Single engine and Multi-engine ratings, Certificated Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor. After a 22-year career, Jay has retired from the military and plans to continue his education pursuing his Multi-engine Instructor certificate, Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and share his enthusiasm and love of flying with the next generation of aviators.

Phil Corbell
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Phil Corbell is a Master Instructor Emeritus whose flying experience covers a wide range of aircraft and diversified types of flying, having flown in the military (B-52s and T-38s), commercial aviation and general aviation, including flight instruction, and glider and banner towing. Phil specializes in teaching young people to fly, older pilots who are returning to flying, and people who need to deal with handicapping issues. Phil is a FAA Safety Team Lead Representative for the Scottsdale FSDO and Wings program specialist.  He is also the AOPA Airport Support Network (ASN) Representative for the Glendale Airport (GEU), a charter member of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE), and a member of the Arizona Aviation Safety Advisory Group (ASAG). Phil recently was awarded the Wright Brothers Achievement Award for 50 years of flying!

Roger D. Fox
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Roger is from Sand Creek Michigan , and attended the University Of Dubuque where he wrestled and majored in Flight Operations and minored in Airport Management. When he is not flying he enjoys snowboarding, painting, and cooking . His favorite movie is The Godfather, and his favorite tv show is The Office. His favorite quote is “Tough times don’t last, tough people do.”

Killian O'Conner
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Killian grew up in a small town in the mountains of Washington. After getting introduced to flying by his uncle at 15 he had the dream of being a pilot. Killian attended Big Bend Community College in Washington and completed his flight training through their program. After that he packed up and moved to Arizona to enjoy the good flying weather. Killian always loved teaching and helping people learn, from teaching at sports camps to running study groups it’s always been a passion and continuous goal to help people learn.

Cole Prucha
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Cole's passion for flying started from growing up around his mother who was a United Airlines flight attendant. He found aviation and flying interesting his whole life but she inspired me to become a pilot. He joined the military out of high school to pay for college and serve the wonderful country we live in. Cole is still serving in the Arizona Army National Guard as a Staff Sergeant. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration and Private Pilots license from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, he decided to move to Arizona and continue my career in Aviation by becoming a Flight Safety Officer and Certified Flight Instructor. Cole's additional passions include working out, running, snowboarding, and hiking.

Auguste Smith
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Auguste grew up in Phoenix and became inspired to fly by my pilot grandfather and father. He was lucky enough to spend some of the summers of my youth in a town near Oshkosh, WI where he often attended the world's largest fly-in, AirVenture, further fueling his love of aviation. Auguste started flying in Flagstaff, AZ while working at the airport there, fueling planes. After receiving his commercial certificate, he moved back to Phoenix to finish his flight instructor training. Auguste also loves to cook, hang with family, and have fun outside.

Trevor Walls
Fly Eagle Sport Flight Instructor

Trevor is a Senior at the University of Arizona and is double majoring in economics and psychology. He started flying with his dad when he was 15 years old, got his first license (private pilot glider) when he was 16 years old, and went on to get 5 more ratings by the time he was 18 years old. Trevor has extensive experience flying high performance, complex aircraft such as a V-tail Beechcraft Bonanza as well as tailwheel aircraft such as the Piper Pawnee which he flew when he worked as a glider tow pilot. Trevor was Fly Eagle Sport's first instrument student back in the summer of 2019.

Voted runner-up for Chicago’s Best Stand Up Comedian for The Reader, Tamale is a regular at The Laugh Factory, Zanies Comedy Clubs, and countless local and national comedy showcases and festivals. She travels the world  playing with fire and performing with her favorite performance troupes the Windy City Blenders and Tamale and Safety Third. She  produces the moto group Bikes and Mics, and the comedic variety show-about-to-turn-podcast Brass Chuckles Comedy: Comedy that kicks ass! She also creates digital offerings, including this very website, Coffee Stain Creative and serves as a rockstar real estate agent for Keller Williams!

Valerie Sepp

Val was immersed in the world of aviation while growing up in Yuma, near the Marine Corps Air Station. With a background in business ownership, education, and customer service she brings a variety of talents to the Eagle Sport team. She holds a Doctorate in Pharmacology, Board Certification in Ambulatory Care medicine, and is a CNP (Certified Nonprofit Professional). She volunteers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is adjunct faculty for Midwestern University Glendale. Val is also a member of the U.S. Army National Guard where she serves in the JAG Core as a Paralegal Specialist. But her favorite and most important job is her role as MAMA! In 2021, Val and Tyler welcomed their adorable son Colt to the world and love teaching him all about AIRPLANES!

Bertha Rodriguez

Bertha is a proud momma of two, a son attending college and a beautiful daughter attending high school.  Bertha is happily married for twenty-two years to her high school sweetheart. Originating from Pico Rivera, California and living near Northrop Grumman Aerospace 1990's. She attended a field trip to the Northrop Grumman which is where she began to envision herself in aviation one day. She attended Whittier College, and graduated from college with a background in business nursing and medical hospitality.  Family relocated to Arizona in 2008. She worked extensively with reputable and large volume corporations in Transportation Logistics and Aviation electronic components. Bertha got passionate about aviation and took pride in handling complex situations while working at Goodyear Airport. She worked cooperatively with Chief Inspectors working on APU's and MRO Aerospace Electronic products. Ensured compliance in manufacturing Honeywell procurement ensuring FAA & EASA quality control. Bertha enjoys building relationships and helping others in assisting people in making their aviation dreams become a reality. Bertha is the appointed liaison of office administration for Fly Eagle Sport Flight School. She is excited to be part of Fly Eagle Sport’s mission to assist customers on their life journey in aviation.
