COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to be the gate into being a professional pilot. Under our part 61 program you will need 250 hours and have met the additional flight experience requirements to take the Commercial Pilot Checkride.
Prerequisites:
- TSA- Must be a US citizen and have a US passport or original Birth Certificate with a government issued photo ID
- Current Medical (2nd Class or higher recommended)
- Private Pilot Certificate
- Instrument Rating (strongly recommended)
HOW WE DO IT
We incorporate ground and flight training using our Remos GX airplanes and our comprehensive syllabus to meet the requirements of 14CFR Part 61 Subpart F - Commercial Pilot. This course can be “accelerated” down to two weeks IF the student arrives with a completed knowledge test, has an overall strong aviation knowledge and competency, has meet the experience requirements, and completed our pre-arrival checklist.
COURSE COMPLETION
- Log at least 250 hours of flight time as a pilot that consists of at least:
- 100 hours in powered aircraft, of which 50 hours must be in airplanes
- 100 hours of pilot-in-command flight time:
- 50 hours in airplanes
- 50 hours in cross-country flight
- 20 hours of training:
- 10 hours of instrument training
- 10 hours of training in a complex airplane
- one 2-hour cross country flight in a single engine airplane in daytime conditions
- one 2-hour cross country flight in a single engine airplane in nighttime conditions
- 3 hours in a single-engine airplane with an authorized instructor in preparation for the practical test
- 10 hours of solo flight time in a single engine airplane or 10 hours of flight time performing the duties of pilot in command in a single engine airplane:
- 1 cross-country flight
- 5 hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings
- FAA knowledge test - Commercial Pilot Airplane
- FAA practical test
